Meso threads are threads made of self-absorbing polymer material (polydioxanone, PDO), inserted into the subcutaneous tissues with a special needle.
Advantages of meso threads:
- Make it possible to tighten and lift the skin in all areas of the body and face.
- These threads form a supporting structure in subcutaneous tissues and new collagen begins to form around this structure (stimulate collagen production).
- Tighten the skin.
- Make the skin more elastic.
- Improve skin texture.
- Smoothe out wrinkles.
- Make the skin tone more even.
Which areas can we improve with meso threads?
Meso threads are used mainly to improve the tone and firmness of the skin under the eyes and to tighten the skin on the neck (for the double chin). However, these threads can be installed to improve the skin tone in any part of the body (cleavage, arms, abdomen, thighs, knees, buttocks, navel area, etc.).
Meso threads promote collagen stimulation in the skin and restore natural lymphatic drainage. Meso threads usually dissolve within 2-4 months, depending on the type and thickness of the thread.
Which meso threads are right for me?
There are many different types of meso threads, with varying length, thickness and structure. The type, number and volume of installed meso threads is highly individual and depends on the problem and skin tone. In most cases, the exact type and number of meso threads becomes clear at the consultation in our clinic before the procedure or when you come for the procedure.
Is the procedure painful? How long will it take to recover?
The procedure is preceded by the application of a numbing cream (about 20-30 minutes on the skin), which makes the procedure practically painless.
The procedure is minimally traumatic, but may entail some swelling and bruising, which usually disappears in 7-10 days.
When will I see the result and how long will the effects last?
You can see the results immediately, but it usually takes 1-2 months to reach the final result. The effects last for about 0.5-2 years, depending on the laxity of the skin, age, etc. We recommend repeating the procedure in every 1 to 3 months for the best result. Depending on the area, we recommend 2 to 5 procedures to achieve the best result.
